Weddings
The Inghamite Church, along with Jesus and the apostle Paul, enthusiastically supports the institution of marriage. It is the basis of what, hopefully, will become a rounded family unit with a shared love and commitment that will overcome many of life’s trials and difficulties. Jesus fondly quoted Genesis 2 v 24: 'That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh.'
If you would like to celebrate your wedding in our lovely picturesque 18th-century church, with many of its original features still intact, please contact us. You will be asked to come to a Sunday morning service to meet with the minister and to get a sense of what kind of church you will be getting married in. He will make an appointment with you to talk more deeply about what it means to get married in church before God. There will be three wedding preparation sessions and another meeting to discuss the details of your service, followed shortly before the wedding by a rehearsal.
The church is licensed to conduct weddings and will hold up to 160 people.
